The Cult of Personality tour presents three internet-born artists who are meticulously involved with crafting the multimedia propaganda around their brands, music, and stage show. Introduced to the web world in 2002, Hong Kong-born identical twins Ming & Ping (new wave, synth pop) have gained an international following through their unique and highly controlled public image and high-profile music placements for brands like Oakley, Transworld, and Ski-doo. Mike Diva (electro-pop) and NVR-NDR (EDM) have also developed large fan bases with blogs and youtube channels that garner tens of thousands of hits per week and recent publicity from the likes of WIRED, LA Weekly and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

MING & PING, identical twins born and raised in urban Hong Kong, are now based in Los Angeles. Since their 2004 debut release, the duo has amassed a devoted following with their energy driven, New-Wave inspired, Electro-pop songs and their compelling visuals. Ming & Ping match their electrifying music with equally vivid photography and video, artwork, costumes, and luscious live performances. Their extravagant multimedia live show has put them on the tails of acts like Fischerspooner and Of Montreal.

Ming & Ping’s sophisticated treatment of electronic-based songwriting have earned them comparisons to contemporary bands like Passion Pit and Postal Service while their youthful, melodic energy calls up dance-rockers Bloc Party and Shiny Toy Guns. Ming & Ping’s tracks have appeared on dozens of promotional spots for major sports brands and the group plans to release a new album in June 2012.

MIKE DIVA(formerly Vyncent Flaw) is an electro-punk band fronted by Mike “Diva” Dahlquist of Youtube fame; Sexy Sax Man, Dogstep, and I’m on Crack are just a few of Mike’s popular videos. Mike Diva’s youtube videos have garnered millions of views and a devout following with over 160,000 subscribers. Mike Diva the band has packed venues and parties in and between Los Angeles and Sacramento. A live video of the band has over 130,000 views.

Mike Diva’s sound can be best described as a mix of electronic, punk, dubstep, hip hop, and rock with influences from artists like Mindless Self Indulgence and Skrillex. Live shows by the band are high energy experiences!

NVR-NDR, pronounced “Never Ender”. In the NVR-NDR universe, the boss battles are epic and the journey scrolls to the right. Our six-eyed, pink-haired hero, [tlr], is armored in pizza, his backpack stuffed with electronic beats.

Taylor Shechet merges philosophy with video game and anime references as the basis for NVR-NDR. His album, Extreme Hyper Impact, is the template for the Magicore movement, uniting metal with dance music, geek culture with the club scene. He’s played L.A. clubs and the Anime Expo 2011, the same event where virtual pop star Hatsune Miku was introduced to the U.S. Now [tlr] is ready to level up and side scroll across the country for NVR-NDR’s first tour!
